Publications for Educational purposes

AUP publishes many titles that are appropriate for educational purposes, especially for university level education. These are also publications for education in Dutch as a second language or for building upon secundary education.

Many scholarly titles of AUP are suited for university or high school level. In order to determine if a title is suited for your curriculum you can request a summary review. More information is available at the bottom of this page.

For an education at a secondary level the following publications are available:

The series Tekst in context offers teaching material in the area of literary history. This highly appreciated series is developed by a group of teachers who follow the demands of modern didactic. For every part there is also a teachers guide available. These are only available by ordering via AUP directly and cost about €9 per guide.

Also suitable secondary education is Denkende machines , on the history of the computer. A teachers guide is also available for this title and can be ordered directly via AUP.

A second, revised edition of Harm Pinkster's Dictionary of Latin/Dutch
is now available. The dictionary is supported by the website www.latijnnederlands.nl

A new dictionary on etymology the Etymological Dictionary of th Netherlands
is now available. This dictionary is the first Dutch etymological dictionary based on scholarly research and offers new insights on the origin of Dutch words. The dictionary is supported by the website www.etymologie.nl or check www.aup.nl/etymologie

Requesting an inspection copy

Teachers can order a inspection copy for every title. You will receive the copy along with an invoice.

If you however assign the book to your students and order at least twenty copies, please ignore the invoice. You can keep the copy free of charge.

If you should decide not to use the inspection copy you can send it back undamaged or pay the invoice.
